I have talked about family dynamics before on this blog and if you know me, you know that my family is rather nuts. This is one third of them – the “Drake” side (one day I will get around to the “Dean” and “Burnett” sides).
If there is one thing I love most about these people, it is the sheer love and appreciation they have for one another. They are so free with their emotions, never afraid to show that they care. It’s a little thing that means a lot.
It isn’t very often that I get in front of the camera so for this photo, I set up the ol’ tripod and hoped for the best. Spoiler: It worked!
It’s a photographers curse to never be photographed, but I am trying! Existing in photos is so important.
This is my grandmother, Rose. Our matriarch. I will forever cherish this photograph of her (and also the little red polka dot bikini photo in this post). She is the most graceful woman I ever met.
